

National Wild Turkey Federation Hires New Virginia/West Virginia NWTF- Regional Biologist The Pocahontas Strutters Chapter of the WV-NWTF really have something to strut about now. In fact all WV-NWTF members will be pleased to know that the National Wild Turkey Federation has hired Patrick "Cully" McCurdy of Marlinton, West Virginia as the new National Wild Turkey Federation Regional Biologist for the states of Virginia and West Virginia. Cully was the Wildlife Manager on Rimel WMA for the WV-DNR and has been very active in turkey savannah type work both on the Monongahela National Forest and the Cal Price State Forest. Culley's working relationship with the WV-DNR, NWTF, West Virginia Division of Forestry, and United States Forest Service will be instrumental in creating cooperative agreements with all agencies to benefit active wildlife habitat management in Virginia and West Virginia. Culley has been an NWTF volunteer for many years, heading the banquet committee of the Pocahontas Strutters Chapter. Patrick "Cully" McCurdy is one of the newest NWTF staff working toward the conservation of wild turkeys and the preservation of our hunting heritage. |
